    Hello Mark, firstly great website I can see the amount of time and time that’s gone in to create it. It’s helped me a lot along the way!
    We’re currently moving into one of the houses at Regents Green Grassmoor and I have to admit the experience has been poor and knowing what I know now I wouldn’t have purchased with Harron. The purchasing of the property, part ex scheme and choosing our fitting and fixtures all went well but after this thing soon took a turn for the worst. The colour of the house and roof changed a few months in, as they’d not signed off with the council – not a massive deal for me but maybe for some. Our original completion date was estimated – June-Aug 2016 and things took a turn for the worse when the site manager left/sacked as the completion dates started to get pushed back and back. Communication is my biggest problem with Harron Homes at no point has any date delay been communicated proactively – I’ve had to chase on any occasion. We’re now in November and there seems to be some sort of legal dispute with the services going on at Regents Green and no one from Harron is able to give me any idea as to when our completion date is liable to be. No response from the customer service email address or anyone I contact – its appalling really! The folks who are buying our property on the part ex scheme seem to get weekly updates and keep texting us with updates! Its so frustrating to know that the part ex team in Harron have this process – but the folks who are purchasing are kept in the dark. I hope someone from Harron reads this and understand where they’re lacking and potential buyer be warned. I’ll be back to update on the quality of the property when we’ve move in – if we move in!     We have now lived on the Chamberlain close development for 5 yrs.
    we have never had our road completed and we are all fed up of e-mailing various people over the years who then leave the company.
    we cannot get any sort of proper answer from anyone and are constantly going round in circles.THERE IS NOW another issue with a gabia wall on our estate which requires some attention.
    WE HAVE major parking issues aswell as everone was promised the same visitors spaces and they underhandedly did what they could to sell the properties and everone was told different things on parking on the estate.

    Hi Mark,
    What fabulously detailed blog! I hope you’re finally enjoying your new home.
    I came across your site while Googling Harron Homes. I live in Ripon, North Yorkshire and have recently found out that Harron are applying to build 135 houses on our doorstep.
    We found that a site at Lindley Moor, Huddersfield, was put on hold by Kirklees councillors back in December because of the state of the site. The proposed site by us has ridiculously limited access via residential roads and residents are very anxious about how builders will manage the site.
    Did you experience any problems in the way that Harron managed the site? Was there are problems with the existing local residents? Has there been any problems with the site since e.g. the balancing ponds etc?
    Forewarned is forearmed!

    I’m a local resident very near to Regents Green, I just want to agree with the local resident who posted in January only now is far worse only this morning Sun 1st of May (Bank Holiday weekend)7.15am moving machinery which has reversing siren they always travel in reverse or so it seems.when contacting the counsel we are told it’s not them they don’t work weekends or Bank Holidays what a joke , we were told that the counsel would monitor the situation I don’t know which regents green there monitoring but it’s not this one .The counsel as good as told my wife she was telling lies,got this for 3 years they show no regard for anyone in the area,

    We are just about to exchange contracts on a new settle at meadow view in Barnsley & I have to say so far so good really we are part exchanging and again no problems up to now apart from the length of time it took the woolwich to come back with our mortgage offer due to us being self employed. We have bought off plan so are to be the first on site and can expect a lot of mud in the coming winter months but I new this when I purchased. We have got a good deal we think we got appliances, flooring and rear turf thrown in as incentives and they offered us a good price for our house and we get to stay in it until the new house is built. Up to now I am happy with the process. Houses are selling like hot cakes with 6 being sold in the last 2 days. We are about to pick our options in the next week or so and to be fair the standard spec is a lot better than any other developer around our area by a mile with better prices and larger properties. I Will keep you informed as the process evolves but I am happy so far.
