So i’ve decided to send the site dark in protest over SOPA as if this passes in the USA it’s only a matter of time before the UK Government is all over it.
If you’d like to black out your blog in protest then (after having done a bit of research) the best plugin is http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/sopa-blackout/
It implements a 503 header on your site which protects you from any dips in SEO.

I really hate SOPA and I wish it won’t pass since how am I gonna work conveniently. And just when my little brother was working on his homework and assignment had a hard time. Since wiki was down because it participated on the blackout against SOPA.
The only thing that is left for us is to hope that the government won’t approve this law and all these protests will bring their productive results. Thanks a lot for this plugin
Mark, do you really feel that the SOPA blackouts made a difference? I’m not so sure. Two days later the government shut down MegaUpload. They don’t even need SOPA to censor the internet!
