Tabbed Content No Longer Indexed by Google

In a podcast, John Meuller from Google’s Swiss office explains that Google is now ignoring text within tabbed content. This means that any accordion menus, tabbed news feeds and other content of this ilk is wasted and needs to be reimagined in order to be effective.

UK Gets Pigeon Update for Christmas

The latest incarnation of Google’s link algorithm codenamed Pigeon was launched just before Christmas in the UK. This update is designed to increase local awareness and boost businesses listings for geographical searches.
