For a while now I’ve been using ‘good ol Tweepi Free’ to manage my unfollowers on twitter. Its great because the tool helps you keep track of where you’re up to and makes bulk unfollowing users as simple as clicking check boxes. One thing thats always frustrated me about the free version of Tweepi is that there’s no way of filtering across pages. I’m sure this is fixed in the pro version but since I’m a Yorkshireman, I try to make do with as much freebie software as possible lol.
I recently stumbled on another free version of a Twitter management suite called ManageFlitter. This software adds a different dimension to Twitter following and unfollowing because it brings to light some of the things you might look for when qualifying twitter user:
What’s more, there’s a nifty icon based drag selection tool, that makes unfolloing 100 people at a time a breeze. Using this tool you can easily identify users who haven’t updated their profile recently (if at all), users with egg profile icons, and users who are not geographically significant to you.
