Combat Paid Links the Easy Way

Further to my post about being careful when thanking bloggers about giving you an unsolicited link from their blogs I’ve thought of rather a devious little technique that you can use to help nullify any paid links your competitors are using to rank.

Simply comment on any paid links using the target href as your link.

This works as 99 times out of a hundred your blog comment link will be nofollowed and as I pointed out in the previous posts to have a followed link followed by a no followed link on a same page then the followed link will be no followed by default.

Obviously this is erring to the dark side and theres obvious ethical questions raised about using someone elses link in your post but it certainly raises an interesting question.
