So I decided to add some more credit to my istockphoto.com account and noticed the prices were in UK Pounds giving me 26 credits for £20… not a bad deal some might say however I thought that i’d investigate the prices of these credits in other currencies.
I noticed that for the princely sum of $33 I could get the same 26 credits…
…But wait a minute. $33 != £20 ?
So a quick check on XE.com discovered that if I paid in USD the fee would only be £16.97… a saving of 10% for just a few clicks of the mouse!
So the next time you buy from Istockphoto.com remember to check currency conversion using a service like XE.com as you could be saving a whole lot more!
